Have you ever been reading and suddenly you come to passages that have been underlined by the previous owner of the book. Things circled and scribbled in the margins. Why are they here? What was that unknown reader doing? How odd to read in someone's footsteps. Sometimes you can tell why a passage was underlined, it speaks to you too, and sometimes you just have no idea.
